Christelle de Castro is a commercial director, photographer, and fine artist, as well as co-founder of Ground Work in New York. She is known for her iconic portraits of musicians, artists, and muses such as Demi Levato, Parris Goebel, Megan Thee Stallion to name a few.

Castro’s work is uniquely intimate and focused on real people with bold personalities. Her work has a consistent pulse devoted to themes of social justice, empowerment and lgbtqia+ community. Her ability to make her subjects feel relaxed and comfortable draws out the most personal and insightful stories, perfectly demonstrated in her documentary ‘Message In The Music’ for Amazon Music which won a bronze Clio Music Award.

Having been exhibited internationally, including in New York, Vienna, and Dubai she also nurtures a broad map of clients within her video work from Nike to Coach, Olay, Simply Be, Supreme, Calvin Klein, Diesel, Converse and Visionaire. Such work has also been published in i-D, V Magazine, Wonderland & Crack Magazine. De Castro is also the founder and creative director of Stoneman – an agency providing photo and film production and creative consulting for fashion and music labels.
